Vivid Sydney Festival Director Brett Sheehy A.O“This year’s Vivid Sydney has been a phenomenal success, exceeding our expectations not only in terms of sold-out shows throughout the programme, but also in the level of enthusiasm, connection and happiness we’ve seen across the city.
“What has been particularly striking this year is the depth of engagement across the programme, with visitors exploring more than ever before. On average they attended 4.5 venues and spent around three hours immersed in the festival per visit.
“Particularly the response to our 2026 initiatives – spectacular aerial performances, sculptural and visual arts elements, second-place and large-scale fire kitchens, our blockbuster laser and pyrotechnic shows, and the development of music in the PO4, Music and Light scale has been particularly sensational.”
